It's the faces in the walls
They whisper over to me
But I can't hear them anyway
Cause my ears are humming
From a 500w transistor
But it's those sound waves that keep me from drowning myself in a bath tub
My body hung like festive lanterns
That were forgotten to be lit
And somebody's frozen and still
Like a Choc Ice or dead mice
Or emperor penguins surviving the artic
There's a darkness down in Chinatown
Where the staggered streets and concrete frowns still
Still get me down
Don't float off away
Tied ribbons just stay
If you float away
Our bodies let go
Somebody's entombed underground
Like pharaohs with organs in clay pots
Tinted with gold but I'm digging holes, not my grave though
Cause I'm climbing out of these walls, these walls
Cause every time I reach my peak I'm face to face with an avalanche
There's a darkness down in Chinatown
Where the staggered streets and concrete frowns still
Still get me down
Don't float off away
Tied ribbons just stay
If you float away
Our bodies let go
Blood in the water
His eyes roll black
Halcyon pools of gore
Falling in front of it
All of these times crushing
Under a ten ton lorry
Cause I can't pretend
How I feel about you anymore

I generally appreciate the album by album move away from hardcore towards extreme metal. Yet for me personally, this is where the balance is perfect. Kind of like Metallica's Ride the Lightning: subsequent albums were more sophisticated and complex, yet less intense, too. Great to come back to, again and again. jornfin
The surprisingly comical new video from roaring metal group Red Fang is a tip of the hat to the original “Predator.” Bandcamp New & Notable Sep 12, 2016
